Brief description
(This combined posting includes five separate roles that differ only in experience level and pay-band.)
This is a full-stack engineering role (actually several) for a YC startup building tools for travel planning. Their app lets users collaborate on structured travel plans, in the same way that something like Google Docs or Figma allow collaboration on copy or design.
The front-end work is typical-ish React for the web app + React Native for the mobile version. The back is Node/Express-based mix of data ingestion from various sources (e.g. flight bookings) and geographic data (a deeper field than you'd think, if you've never done it before!). Their leadership is technical, and they do a lot of pair-programming and documentation to keep everyone on the same page technically.
This role is remote within the US and Canada. Candidates in Latin America may be considered, but they'd need to stand out in some way (e.g. on our interview).
What they're looking for
[Required]
Some background with front-end development. If you don't have professional experience, personal projects are OK - but you need to know how to pick up and run with React, at least.
Strong coding on our interview (and in general).
A liking for pair programming and documentation.
The usual startup traits: OK with ambiguity, a workload on the higher end (although see below), and want to focus on building a product to put in people's hands.
[Nice-to-have]
A personal interest in travel (for dogfooding purposes).
Background with React Native.
Experience with GIS tools.
What they're offering
Salary: dependent on location and experience:

Established startup: 6 years old and still stable.
Reasonable WLB expectations - still a bit heavier than your typical 9-5, but not by much, and no on-call.
Technical leadership and founding team; engineers are not second-class citizens.
Pair-programming, and for junior candidates learning-heavy, work environment.
